Managing products in Zaymo

Last updated: May 20, 2026

Products tool

The Products tool lets you control how your Shopify products appear inside Zaymo emails — without changing anything in Shopify. Override a title, swap a long description for a shorter one, reorder images, hide selling plans, or keep a product live in your Online store channel while hiding it from Zaymo emails entirely.

The idea: your Shopify product page and your email don't always need the same content. Now they don't have to.

What you can do

Override

What it does

Show/hide selling plans

Hide specific selling plans from appearing in the selling plan dropdown in Zaymo product blocks. Useful when a product has multiple plans in Shopify but you only want one surfaced in email.

Rename product titles

Change the title that shows in Zaymo emails. The Shopify product title stays untouched.

Change description

Replace the Shopify product description with a shorter, email-friendly version. Edit it once in Zaymo and it sticks.

Hide products from Zaymo blocks

Keep a product live in your Online store channel but hide it from Zaymo. Great for free-gift SKUs, employee-only products, or anything that shouldn't be recommended in email.

Update & reorder images

Choose which images appear in the product block and the order they show in. The Shopify image library isn't affected.

Why use it

Most stores have at least a handful of products where the Shopify setup doesn't match how you'd want to talk about the product in email:

  • Long, SEO-heavy descriptions that read fine on a PDP but blow out an email layout. Write a short version once in Zaymo and keep the long one in Shopify for your storefront.

  • Free-gift or add-on SKUs that need to exist in your store but shouldn't show up in dynamic product feeds, recommendations, or best-seller blocks.

  • Multiple selling plans where you only want subscribers to see one option in email (e.g. hide the 14-day plan and only show 30-day).

  • Product titles that include SKU codes, internal naming, or technical detail. Rename them for email without disrupting your storefront or fulfillment.

  • Image order — the hero image on your PDP isn't always the best lead image in an inbox. Reorder once and every email pulls the new order.

Show/hide selling plans

In the Products tool, open a product and toggle individual selling plans on or off. Hidden plans won't appear in the selling plan dropdown in Zaymo product blocks, but they remain active in your subscription provider and Shopify.

Renaming a product title

Open the product, edit the Title field, and save. From that point on, every Zaymo product block referencing that product pulls the overridden title by default. To revert, clear the field — Zaymo falls back to the Shopify title.

Changing the description

Same pattern: edit the Description field on the product. The new description becomes the default for every product block that uses it. Shopify still holds the original — only Zaymo sees your override.

This is the one most teams underestimate. If you've ever copy-pasted a shorter description into every new email template, this replaces that workflow entirely.

Hiding a product from Zaymo

Toggle Hide in Zaymo on the product. Hidden products won't appear in:

  • Dynamic product feeds (Zaymo Recommended Products, Shopify Best Sellers, collection-based feeds, etc.)

  • Manual product search inside the product block

Hiding a product in Zaymo has no effect on Shopify — the product stays live in your Online store channel and any other sales channels you've enabled.

Updating and reordering images

Open the product and use the image manager to:

  • Hide individual images so they don't appear in the image carousel

  • Drag images into the order you want them to display

Changes apply to all product blocks pulling that product. Like the other overrides, your Shopify image library is unchanged.

Things to know

  • Overrides are per-product, not per-email. Once you change a title, description, or image order, every Zaymo product block using that product picks up the change automatically, no need to re-export

  • Reverting is as simple as clearing the overridden field — Zaymo falls back to the Shopify value

  • Hiding ≠ deleting. A hidden product can be unhidden at any time without losing your other overrides
