Collecting reviews through emails is more effective with Zaymo's interactive review block. To use this block and have reviews collected directly in interactive emails, Reviews.io must be integrated with both Zaymo and Klaviyo. This article covers connecting Reviews.io to Zaymo.
What does the Reviews.io integration unlock?
The Reviews.io integration unlocks the review block in Zaymo, so customers can write and submit a product review right inside the email, with no links or redirects out. Completed reviews are sent to Reviews.io for moderation, the same as any other review submitted through Reviews.io.
Before you start: connecting through the API requires a Reviews.io Plus plan.
How do I set up the Reviews.io integration?
Prerequisite: connect Reviews.io to Klaviyo first, if you haven't already. The review block needs product and reviewer information from a Klaviyo review-request flow to know what to show.
Step 1: In your REVIEWS.io dashboard, open Integrations, then API.
Step 2: Copy your Store ID and your API Key. The API key isn't strictly required by Reviews.io, but connecting without one means your reviews are limited by Reviews.io's strict submission rate limits — since Zaymo sends from shared servers, this limit is shared across every Zaymo account without a key, so we require it.
Step 3: Log in to Zaymo, navigate to Integrations > Reviews.io, and click Connect. Paste your Store ID and API Key and click Connect.
Step 4: Set the Collect Partial Reviews toggle. Leave it on to collect every review, even ones missing a title or body. Turn it off to only collect reviews that have both a title and a body filled out.
