Offer a bundle upgrade

The Upgrade setting moves customers up to the next size of their bundle, for example from a 6-pack to a 9-pack. There's nothing to configure. Zaymo finds the next size for each customer from your Recharge bundle.

Upgrade options

Option	What the customer sees
Off	No upgrade. This is the default.
Offer	An Upgrade to {next size} button in the summary. Tapping it switches the bundle to the bigger size and price. They can tap Undo upgrade before saving.
Auto	The bundle opens at the bigger size. There's no way to go back to the smaller size from the email.

How it works

• The next size is the smallest bigger size of the same bundle. Only the size changes. For example, "Monger's Table / 7 Items" goes to "Monger's Table / 9 Items", never to a different curation.
• Current items carry over. The new spots start empty, and the customer fills them before saving.
• The header shows the change: the old size is crossed out above the new one, and the counter counts against the new size. It stays red until the new spots are filled.
• The price shown is the price charged. It's worked out from the customer's current price, so customers on an older price get the matching increase.
• Nothing changes until the customer saves. If the upgrade can't finish, the bundle is put back to its original size. It's never left half-upgraded.

• Works in Gmail, Apple Mail and on the full bundle page. Other email apps show the upgraded bundle as a picture that opens the full bundle page.

Discount only with the upgrade

When Upgrade is on and the block has a discount, you can turn on Upgrade to unlock discount.

• The discount only applies when the customer upgrades.
• The button names the offer, for example "Upgrade to Meat Box — 9 — 10% OFF".
• Customers with no bigger size available don't get the discount.

When this setting is off, the discount applies to every save, upgrade or not.

Things to know

• Prepaid bundles can't be upgraded.
• Customers with no bigger size (already on the largest) don't see an upgrade.
• Upgrades go one size at a time. For about a week after upgrading, an Auto block won't push the same customer up again. They'll see an Offer button instead.
• Blocks set to a specific size keep finding customers they upgraded, even though those customers are now on a different size.
• Customers can't swap bundle sizes on their own in the portal or the Swap block. A size change only happens through the upgrade, so the items always match the size.
