Iterable
Last updated: September 9, 2026
Zaymo blocks can be used in Iterable emails, campaigns, and journeys.
How do I set up the Iterable integration?
Step 1: In Iterable, open Integrations, then API Keys, and click New API Key. Choose a Server-side key type.
Step 2: Copy the generated key.
Step 3: Log in to Zaymo, navigate to Integrations > Iterable, and click Connect. Paste your API key, select the data center your Iterable project is hosted in (United States or Europe), and click Connect. Keep your API key secret.
Zaymo uses this key to connect to your Iterable project.
The standard workflow
Build or edit your email in Zaymo, adding Zaymo blocks as usual.
Click Export (or Preview, then Export) in the top right.
Zaymo pushes the template directly into Iterable for you — there's no HTML to copy and paste. Re-exporting the same template later updates that same Iterable template instead of creating a duplicate, so it's safe to re-export as many times as you need.
One manual step remains for the interactive (Gmail) version of the email: Iterable's API can't receive the AMP part of the export, so Zaymo will prompt you to copy it and paste it into the template's AMP for Email HTML tab in Iterable, then save. This is a one-time step per template — re-exporting afterward keeps your pasted AMP content in place.
In Iterable, assign the template to a campaign or journey when you're ready to send.
Previewing with real subscriber data
Iterable doesn't support searching profiles by name, so previewing works a little differently than in Klaviyo:
Type a subscriber's full email address to look up their profile. If no matching profile is found, you can choose to preview using that email address anyway — useful for testing against data from another connected integration (like your subscription provider) even if Iterable itself doesn't know that email yet.
To preview a specific triggered event (for example, a journey step), you can also paste an event payload copied directly from Iterable. This is useful because API-triggered journey events often don't show up in a profile's regular event history until the moment they're actually sent.
Setting up AMP (interactive email) approval for your domain
Google approves interactive AMP email per sending domain, separately from any one template. Because Iterable's API can't upload an AMP document on its own, this is a one-time, org-level setup:
In Zaymo, go to Settings. If your organization is connected to Iterable, you'll see an AMP approval (Iterable) section.
Create a new template in Iterable.
In Zaymo, click Copy AMP approval template and paste it into that template's AMP for Email HTML tab in Iterable. Click Copy HTML approval template and paste it into the template's regular HTML tab.
Send the template as a real campaign to Google's AMP whitelisting address.
This is separate from the AMP paste step in the standard export workflow above — that one happens per template, every time; this one is a single setup step for your sending domain.
Known limitations
Zaymo exports to Iterable always ship as a single version — there's no A/B split option for Iterable exports the way there is for Klaviyo.
Deliverability Booster (Inbox Booster) is not available for Iterable organizations; that feature is built specifically around Klaviyo sending.
