Set up the Bundle Builder block
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Add the block
- Open your email in the editor.
- Under Subscriptions, drag Bundle Builder into the email.
- Pick which bundle it shows with the Bundle setting (see below).
- Style it like any other block.
That's all the setup most emails need. Items, sizes, limits and prices come from Recharge, so there's nothing to keep in sync.
Settings
Some settings only appear when they apply. For example, Start with default selection only shows once you pick a specific bundle.
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Bundle | Which bundle the block shows. Choose the customer's next bundle, their most recent cancelled bundle, or a specific bundle (and size). Learn more | The recipient's next bundle |
| Default selling plan | For a specific bundle sold on several delivery schedules: the schedule the order form starts on. Customers can still change it. Only shown when the bundle has more than one schedule. | The first schedule |
| Start with default selection | For a specific bundle: when a customer is buying it new, the bundle starts filled with the default items you set in Recharge, instead of empty. Learn more | Off |
| Upgrade | Offer customers the next size up of their bundle. Off, Offer (a button they can tap) or Auto (the bundle opens at the bigger size). Learn more | Off |
| Upgrade to unlock discount | The block's discount only applies if the customer upgrades. Only shown when Upgrade is on and the block has a discount. | Off |
| Allow users to switch selling plans | Customers who already have the bundle get a How often dropdown to change how often it ships. Works with every Bundle choice. Learn more | Off |
| Discount | One discount code that's added when the customer saves or buys. Codes with a minimum spend can't be used. Learn more | None |
| Cart Placement | Show the summary above or below the items. | Below Products |
| Bundle summary header | The title above the summary. Bundle title shows the bundle's name. Fixed text lets you type your own wording in the canvas. | Bundle title |
| Layout and styling | Items per row, how many items show (up to 15), colors, fonts, button text and so on. | — |
Some settings you may know from Cart Builder are hidden here, like product source, product feed and purchase options. The bundle decides those.
The "View Full Catalog" box
When a bundle has more items than fit in the email (15), a View Full Catalog box appears under the items. It opens the full bundle page with everything the bundle allows. You can change its wording and style in the canvas. Learn more about the full bundle page
Preview the block
- With a test profile: pick a profile that has a bundle subscription to see exactly what they'd see.
- With the demo profile: the preview shows one of your store's real bundles (the most recently edited one). Use the preview switches to see each version of the block:
- Has active subscription on shows the edit view. Off shows the "buy this bundle" view.
- Payment method off shows what a customer without a saved card sees when buying.
- If items seem to be missing, the preview tells you when a bundle's Shopify collection isn't published to the Zaymo sales channel. See Troubleshooting
Good to know: If you change a bundle's name in Shopify after sending, emails already sent keep the old name. Re-export the email to pick up the new one.
